“‘I Can’t Believe It!’: Martin Lawrence Surprises Former ‘Martin’ Co-Star Tichina Arnold with an Unexpected Reunion, Leaving Fans Speechless”
Years after the conclusion of “Martin,” comedians Martin Lawrence and Tichina Arnold have come together once again, this time for a different popular sitcom. While they’ve crossed paths in various films and at red carpet events over the years, this reunion marks a fresh chapter. Their roles in this new project are a departure from their iconic characters, Pam and Martin, but their chemistry still brings a wave of nostalgia to fans.
Tichina Arnold not only plays the role of Cedric the Entertainer’s wife on the CBS show “The Neighborhood”, but she was also recently selected to direct an episode in the series’ seventh season.
To mark the last day of filming for his on-screen wife, Cedric the Entertainer reached out to his old friend and fellow Def Comedy Jam alum, Martin Lawrence, to help surprise Tichina Arnold.
The Bad Boys star shared the moment on Instagram, saying, “When my brother @cedtheentertainer called me to surprise @tichinaarnold on her final day directing an episode of @theneighborhood, I had to be there! So proud of you and everything you’re accomplishing. Much love #family.”
Lawrence also posted a video showing him entering the set while Cedric appeared to be filming a gambling scene. As he walked in, Cedric playfully yelled, “Hold on, Tichina … I want my money.”Feigning surprise, Cedric, known for his role in “Kings of Comedy”, turned to Lawrence and joked, “What are you doing here, man? This isn’t your show.”
Moments after the surprise, the cast and crew burst into laughter and applause.In the comments, a stunned Tichina Arnold couldn’t stop expressing her gratitude. “I’m still in shock. Love you, man,” she shared in one post. In another, she added, “Thank you again, Ceddy! @cedtheentertainer, you created a moment in my life that I will NEVER forget. Love and respect to both of you. Just wow. God is great.”Arnold also reflected on the surprise in a separate post, sharing a video from her perspective. “Soooo… THIS happened today on my last day directing an episode of @theneighborhood. It’s hard to catch me off guard, but @cedtheentertainer REALLY got me this time,” she wrote. “Love these 2 amazing men for life. Wow. Just wow.
@martinlawrence.”
